Doesn't turning trading into a game make people trade more?+
That's the one thing we built against. XP comes from the process: checking in, journaling, reviewing and keeping your rules. Size and P&L never earn a point, a broken rule costs you the day's clean XP and your streak, and the circuit breaker exists to end your day early.
What's free, and what's Pro?+
Your journal, imports, dashboard, trader rating, XP and levels, game plan, circuit breaker and daily report card are free. Pro adds all seven report tabs (including Progress and Week Wrapped), Intel, the AI coach and the leaderboard.
Can I get a refund?+
Yes, once. If Pro isn't for you, email support@journalcade.com within 7 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. Pro ends when the refund goes through, and your journal stays on the Free plan. Renewals aren't refunded, but you can cancel any time and keep Pro until the end of the month you paid for.
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes. Billing is handled by Stripe and you can cancel from the billing portal whenever you like. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Is my trading data private?+
Yes. Your trades, notes and screenshots are yours alone, and we don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. The leaderboard is opt-in, uses a name you choose, and shows journaling scores only, never P&L, size, accounts or trades.
Can I get my data out, or delete it?+
Export your trades from the app at any time. Settings → Delete account permanently removes your account and everything in it, straight away.
What markets does it work with?+
Futures, stocks, options, forex and crypto. Futures get the deepest support: contract specs, fees, session days and prop-firm rules.
Does it work with my prop firm?+
Set your account's profit target, drawdown, daily loss limit and rules, or start from a preset. For futures accounts the day starts at the 6 PM ET session open, the way prop firms count it.
How do I get my trades in?+
Import your broker's CSV export or add trades by hand. The importer merges fills into positions and skips anything you've already imported.
Is this financial advice?+
No. Journalcade is an educational journaling tool. It never places trades, and nothing in it is a signal to buy or sell.
