A trading journal
for Interactive Brokers.
Connect Interactive Brokers once and your trades come in on their own, or drop in its export file. Either way, every trade is checked, priced and scored.
How to export from Interactive Brokers.
- 1
In the IBKR portal open Performance & Reports → Flex Queries, make a query with Trades (or a Trade Confirmation one with its executions) and run it as CSV.
- 2
An Activity Statement saved as CSV works too.
Then in Journalcade press Import and drop the file in. There are no columns to match.
Sync Interactive Brokers in three steps.
- 1Make a Flex Query
In the IBKR portal open Performance & Reports → Flex Queries and add an Activity Flex Query. Tick Trades (Executions), set Format to XML and Period to Last 365 Calendar Days. Save it: its Query ID is the number beside it.
- 2Get a Flex token
On the same page open Flex Web Service Configuration, turn it on and generate a token. Pick the longest it allows (up to a year). It can only read reports: it can’t trade or move money.
- 3Paste them in Journalcade
Open Settings → Auto-sync, pick Interactive Brokers and paste them in. The first sync brings your history in; then trades come in every 6 hours, or when you press Sync now.
Check your Interactive Brokers export, free.
- Drop it on the free trade audit
- See what revenge trades and held losers cost
- Read in your browser, never uploaded
